Admission To apply to the professional program, an application must be submitted by June 1 to the Department of Nursing, Sudro Hall 136. Enrollment to the nursing major is limited. A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 in college course work is required for evaluation for admission. Actual GPA of admitted student is generally higher. Admission is competitive and based on all of the following: 1) GPA in prerequisite courses (see sample curriculum), 2) completion of the prerequisite courses with a grade of "C" or better, 3) eligibility for sophomore standing, 4) personal references, 5) a personal interview if requested, 6) number of credits (up to 30) taken in the North Dakota University System (NDUS), and 7)evidence of: a)outstanding leadership, b)exceptional community service, c)membership in a group under represented in nursing Students applying to the nursing major (sophomore year) must:

Application forms may be obtained in the Department of Nursing, Sudro Hall 136 and the Office of Admission, Ceres Hall 124, NDSU, Fargo, ND 58105 or you may call the Office of Admission at (701) 231-8643 or 800-488-NDSU. Students currently enrolled at
NDSU in the pre-nursing program are encouraged to consult their nursing
faculty adviser prior to the application deadline.
